A recently-added feature to the site is the Great Toronto Theatres Map, highlighting all the movie houses we’ve profiled or mentioned since 2007. There’s plenty more to come!

Says here-the Bedford/ Park Theatre(Yonge and Fairlawn) closed in 1981……(thats WRONG….it closed in summer 1983(my wife and I saw the movie War Games(1983)(withMatthew Broderick and Ally Sheedy) at the Park(we won tickets toi see it(it was 6 weeks before the Park Theatre closed(in 1983)……(I very definitely remember that!)
Keep up the good work-this is an excellent site….
(and out on Roncesvalles-the Brighton Theatre(just north of Queen W(and now a convenience store) opened in 1954(at a time when a lot of Toronto movie theatres were CLOSING(thanks largely to television) and closed around 1983(but the Brighton sign would last until around 2000(when it was finally removed-17 years after the Brighton closed….)
