About me | Hire me

If you or your organization are developing a project that could benefit from a dynamic storyteller, I’m available as a consultant, producer, or project manager. Please email me at veillette.eric@gmail.com. I’m currently focusing on paid work, so I appreciate professional inquiries.

I’m a Toronto-based arts journalist & creative producer with roots in Northern Ontario & a deep track record in media, film, & pop culture. I write, edit, research & manage both the creative & business sides of storytelling—bringing ideas to life on the page, on air & on screen.

My recent work on film culture has appeared in The Globe & Mail, Toronto Star & Spacing Magazine. I recently produced a video essay for Severin Films.

I’ve worked as Culture Reporter for CBC/Radio-Canada’s Toronto morning show, covering the city’s arts scene, francophone communities, policy impacts & major political events. I’ve also covered red carpets & festivals for France 24, programmed screenings for TIFF, Rendezvous With Madness, the Goethe-Institut Toronto, curated exhibitions for institutions like the Royal Ontario Museum, Bata Shoe Museum, Hot Docs, Images Festival, and led copy-writing projects for Heritage Toronto and the National Film Board of Canada.

From 2015–2020, I was the Programming Director at Toronto’s historic Revue Cinema.

I’m currently at work on a book about the history of movie-going in Toronto.

Media inquiries: I am available for interviews and to comment on all matters relating to the film industry, changes in movie-going culture, the history of Canadian film exhibition and theatre architecture.
